The pen drives were sold asserting that the capacity is 32GB, while even 1GB of data could not be saved and could not be formatted too. The package was found to be made in China. Saalem has disclosed that there are two more persons with whom he had come to the region to sell the products.

He has told that they have come from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, and has admitted that they have purchased the spurious products from Chandni Chowk Bazaar, New Delhi. Further, he had added that the fake products were bought for about Rs 160 and sold in the price range between Rs 300-Rs 400.

They have been selling the products at crowded places and at the entrance of colleges.
