Perot appoints Vohra as CMO

NEW DELHI:Perot Systems Corporation recently announced the appointment of Atul Vohra as chief marketing officer.

Vohra would be responsible for providing company-wide leadership for marketing and communications. He would work closely with the company’s operating and shared service units to enhance the company’s marketing and communications strategy and delivery structure.

“The role of chief marketing officer is new for Perot Systems,” said Peter Altabef, president and chief executive officer, Perot Systems. “Atul has built brands, businesses and teams in his diverse global career spanning multiple industries and three continents. His extensive experience will be a tremendous asset to the company as we move forward with our business.”

Vohra joined Perot Systems in 2004 and was responsible for the US applications operations within the Consulting and Applications Solutions group. Earlier, he was with Mastek, an offshore IT services company. He has also worked in senior marketing and general management roles across Asia, Europe and America for organizations such as American Express, Cheesebrough Ponds and Citigroup.

He holds a bachelor’s degree with honors from St. Stephens College in New Delhi, India, and his M.B.A. from Indian Institute of Management. He is also an adjunct Professor at Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business.
