The Epson Perfection V350 Photo scanner supports film archiving for home and small business users. The AFL resides on the scanner's lid and can be accessed effortlessly by depressing the spring-mounted mechanism.

Once opened, it allows users to slide in entire 35mm filmstrips of up to six frames at a time. The film negatives are scanned at high quality 4800dpi optical resolution with a rich 48-bit colour depth. Together with Epson's Easy Photo Fix software, which features digital dust correction, colour restoration and an all-new backlight correction function, old photographs and films can be impeccably restored to their former glory, an Epson statement said.

It also supports scanning of A4-sized documents and 3D objects. With its innovative new hinge design, the scanner's lid can be opened up to 180 degrees to accommodate scanning of thick items such as books and magazines.
