Features: Epson, a digital imaging company, has announced the launch of
its Perfection V350 Photo scanner. The new mid-range flatbed scanner features
the innovative built-in Automatic Film Loader (AFL), which allows users to
easily digitize their personal collection of 35mm negative filmstrips in one
easy step.
The Epson Perfection V350 Photo scanner supports film archiving for home and
small business users. The AFL resides on the scanner's lid and can be accessed
effortlessly by depressing the spring-mounted mechanism.
Once opened, it allows users to slide in entire 35mm filmstrips of up to six
frames at a time. The film negatives are scanned at high quality 4800dpi optical
resolution with a rich 48-bit colour depth. Together with Epson's Easy Photo
Fix software, which features digital dust correction, colour restoration and an
all-new backlight correction function, old photographs and films can be
impeccably restored to their former glory, an Epson statement said.
It also supports scanning of A4-sized documents and 3D objects. With its
innovative new hinge design, the scanner's lid can be opened up to 180 degrees
to accommodate scanning of thick items such as books and magazines.
The Perfection V350 Photo also boasts a smart energy saving mode, which is
automatically activated after 15 minutes of inactivity. To reactivate the
scanner, the user only needs to tap on any one of the four direct access buttons
or by launching the Epson Scan software.
Price: The mid-range feature-rich EPSON Perfection V350 Photo is priced
at Rs12,999/- and is available across India.
