The machine is based on a SIS 550 SoC and 64 MB RAM. It has 32 MB flash

memory for its OS. Its connectors include a VGA connector, PS/2 ports for mouse

and keyboard, a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port, a parallel port, a stereo output

connector and two USB connectors. It uses ICA for connecting to Citrix and RDP

for accessing Windows Terminal Services.

The client also supports SMB/ LPD printing, and you can even mount SMB/ NFS

shares on it. It supports a maximum resolution of 1280x 1024 at 16-bit color.

We tested its connectivity with Terminal Services on Win 2000/XP and Citrix

Metaframe. You just need to add the client name with the IP address of the
remote desktop sharing server and the connecting protocol. Then use the connect

button to start terminal emulation. It is quite fast in connecting to the remote

machines.

Display quality, however, isn’t very good as the colors reproduced from the

remote machine are different. Also, it didn’t give any sound output when we

played music from the remote machine. Given the fact that the client doesn’t

require maintenance as nothing resides locally, it is a good buy.
