Pentafour acquires Animasia International

BANGALORE: Pentafour Software & Exports has formally announced the acquisition of Animasia International Pte Ltd., a production house based in Singapore and Philippines.



Animasia Singapore and Kingdom Animasia (a subsidiary of Animasia Singapore) were jointly acquired by Pentafour. The acquisition is aimed to enhance the skills required by Pentafour Software in the 2D and 3D areas and to generate further innovative and architecture of animation. The board of Pentafour Software at a meeting has declared an interim dividend of 16 per cent for the year 1999-2000.



Pentafour Software CMD V. Chandrasekharan said, "The abundance of 2D in the television cartoons and its subsequent spread in the Japanese market will now be effectively tapped by Pentafour with the help of this acquisition. The acceptance of Pentafour as a production house will be enhanced by the qualities of Animasia companies.'' Animasia MD Chen said, "The firm marketing strategies of Pentafour and its strong foothold in the Hollywood arena will blend into a rich success for the acquisition. "
