PCs are more fun with 3rd gen Intel Core processors

SANTA CLARA, USA: Intel has unveiled the quad-core third generation Intel Core processor family. It brings visual and performance computing gains for gamers, media enthusiasts and mainstream users.

The new processors are the first chips in the world that is made using Intel's 22-nanometer (nm) 3-D tri-gate transistor technology and it is now available in powerful, high end desktop, laptop and sleek all in one designs.

With the combination of Intel's 3-D tri-gate transistor technology and architectural enhancements, it is now possible to double up the 3-D graphics and HD media processing performance. Because of the built-in visual performance, creating and editing videos and photos, surfing the web, watching HD movies and playing mainstream games is now quicker, crisper and livelier.

The new processors seem to be promising when it comes to extending Intel's overall performance leadership. It has as much as 20 percent microprocessor performance improvements and new technologies to speed up the flow of data to and from the chips.
