Primary agenda of the new committee is to implement a uniform price policy among the dealers and take necessary steps to increase the profit margins. According to Singla, “Our margins are decreasing day by day as most of the companies are playing a major role in this. Their aim is to increase only the turnovers. Very soon we will announce a program to stop all these activities.”

While talking about the plans for the benefit of channel partners, Singla revealed, “We would want to work to resolve issues related to payment, warranty and claims, and also disputes involving either consumers or vendors.

We are working hard for the welfare of our dealers for almost four years now. And we are happy to let others know that we have solved numerous disputes because of the intervention of the association.”

PCDA has been holding training programs for the last three years with the help of vendors. “We intend to do at least four such events this year. D-Link, Intel, WeP, Tally, Dell, Asus were some of the vendors to have done some programs with us last year. The association is in regular touch with them for organizing such activities,” noted Singla.

The association boasts of the fact that in the past three years, they have successfully resolved several issues between the dealers and vendors peacefully.

“When we get such type of complaints from any of our partners, we generally issue a notice to the particular vendor to hear from his side too. After getting reply from the vendor’s side, our executive body studies the situation and invites both the parties to sit together, and resolve the issue. I can proudly say that we have 100 percent success rate in resolving them,” said Singla.

PCDA is voicing its opinion for the implementation of goods and service tax (GST) as soon as possible. They feel that it should be implemented soon because upcountry dealers will get a good business after implementation of GST.

While talking about association’s expansion plans, Singla added, “Almost 80 percent of the major partners of Panipat are already the members of PCDA. Partners who have no belief in genuine business practices are not the members of our organization and we have no intention to invite them to be a part of us. But we would definitely welcome partners who believes in our policy.”

PCDA is not planning to hold an expo anytime soon, but they will organize it during the festive season of Diwali. These days, the Labour Department of Haryana is running an online drive for registration of shops under Shop and Establishment Act. The department is taking a fee of Rs 35 for this service. “Our members will do this work free of cost, and will not charge anything from the shopkeepers within Panipat,” signed off Singla.
