PC Tools releases its 2011 portfolio

BANGALORE, INDIA: PC Tools today announced the release of its 2011 performance and protection portfolio, including PC Tools Spyware Doctor, PC Tools Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus and PC Tools Internet Security, PC Tools Registry Mechanic and PC Tools Performance Toolkit , built on the brands award-winning technologies.

The 2011 portfolio focuses on eliminating the many challenges consumers face when considering performance or protection options, and developing a sharper, more comprehensive portfolio that delivers simplicity, effectiveness and affordability to customers, a release said.

According to the release, PC Tools’ unique multi-layered approach to protection and its renowned malware detection and removal reputation helped build the 2011 protection portfolio that includes a range of new and advanced features such as Download Guard, Rootkit Guard and the Threat Removal Tool, while PC Tools leading behavioral technology has been further improved with new behavior profiles to improve detection effectiveness.

The release added, tests conducted in August by independent test lab AV-Test.org1 demonstrate that PC Tools Internet Security 2011 is among the top three consumer security products in real-world malware-blocking tests. PC Tools scored 100 per cent for overall detection and blocking, based on dynamic malware testing.

“We have been witnessing tremendous growth in India with the total number of internet users growing to 71 million last year1  With this growth emerges a greater need to ensure online safety and to improve PC performance. PC Tools has also entered into an agreement for distribution of PC Tools’ Internet Security 2011. PC Tools Internet Security will be available to Global Infonet’s national network of over 3000+ customers from 25th October 2010.

In India the complete portfolio is available at retail prices on the company. Global Infonet will distribute PC Tools Internet Security to 3000+ customers nationwide for INR 1750, for I year, 3 PC license.
