Patni strengthens European operations

BANGALORE, INDIA: Patni Computer Systems has announced the appointment of Brian Stones as executive vice-president responsible for its European operations.

Patni’s European business showed a robust growth of over 60 per cent last year. Patni already enjoys significant presence in European countries like Germany, Sweden, Netherlands and the UK. The European region accounted for 14.2 per cent of Patni’s revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2007, Patni said in a statement on Monday.

Prior to joining Patni, Stones was a senior vice-president with ACS Inc. for two years, responsible for the business operation in Europe. He also worked as a vice-president for Capgemini and was formerly a senior partner at Ernst & Young, most notably as the Leader of the Global Client Consulting business in Europe.
