Patni was selected by Weyerhaeuser through a comprehensive evaluation of its largest suppliers, which were assessed on the basis of compliance, cost effectiveness, quality of delivery, relationship management and innovation, said a press release.

“Weyerhaeuser congratulates Patni in winning the Weyerhaeuser 2010 IT Supplier of the Year Award. This is an exclusive award given to the IT supplier who best demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and overall excellence in the Weyerhaeuser IT environment,” said Brad Mjelde, director, IT Supplier Management for Weyerhaeuser.

The award was presented to Patni at an exclusive supplier recognition event hosted by Kevin Shearer, vice president and chief information officer at Weyerhaeuser.

“It is a significant achievement to win this award once; the fact that Weyerhaeuser has recognized Patni’s work two consecutive years truly speaks of the dedication and consistent performance our company has displayed,” said Naresh Lakhanpal, president of Patni Americas.

Weyerhaeuser launched the award in 2009 to recognize the IT supplier that demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and excellence within the Weyerhaeuser environment, the release added.
