According to the association members, there are several issues prevailing in the region but no initiative or any step is being taken either by the distributor or the vendor to solve them. In order to get the matter heard, PCDA has approached The DQ Week to organize a forum that can provide a platform for the channel partners to raise their issues.

“Service is the biggest issue in Pathankot. For instance, there is no service center of HP Compaq in the region. Whenever there is a service requirement, the dealers have to take the product either to Jalandhar or to Amritsar, which is at a distance of more than 100kms. This is a major issue for the channel partners and inconvenience the customers as it takes a lot of time to get the product repaired. We want vendors and distributors to acknowledge our problems and the IT Panchayat would be the ideal platform,” said Rajesh Bajaj, President, PCDA.

He further informed that dealers in Pathankot have several other issues with different distributors which could be discussed in an open forum.

“There are several instance of DoA cases and the dealers facing problems in getting the matter resolved. There is no clear direction from the distributors and they pay attention to such matters. This collectively creates a problem for the channel partners,” informed Sanjay Nanda, President, PCDA.

PCDA has been active for the last one year after their election in July. The association has more than 50 registered members.
