Pat Wynne is BO group vice president

SAN JOSE & PARIS: Business Objects (BO), a leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced the appointment of Pat Wynne as group vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific region.

In this role, Wynne will be responsible for sales and operations for China, Japan, and Asia Pacific, and will report directly to Bernard Liautaud, chairman of the board and CEO of BO.

She will also serve as a member of the company's executive committee. Boon Huat Lee, vice president of the Asia Pacific region, JY Pook, vice president of China, and Masahura Fukazawa, country manager of Japan, will report to Wynne.

Wynne has a track record of sales management and accomplishments to the position, with more than 25 years of experience in building and leading successful sales teams. Most recently, Wynne served as the interim managing director of Australia/New Zealand for BO, leading the region to its strongest sales quarter ever in Q2 2005.

Wynne joined BO in 2001 as vice president of sales, before moving to the role of vice president of employee retention and motivation where she specifically

focused on the integration of the Crystal Decisions and Business Objects sales teams.

Prior to BO, Wynne held positions at Brience Corporation, Backweb Technologies, and also held key senior sales positions for nine years with Oracle Corporation, including the position of area vice president, west, where she was responsible for sales of all products and services to commercial companies with annual revenue greater than $500 million in the western United States.
