JACKSONVILLE, USA: ParkerVision Inc., a developer and marketer of semiconductor technology solutions for wireless applications, announced that it was ranked among the top 20 companies in the telecom and communications industry according to an analysis conducted by The Patent Board, which appeared in the July 15, 2013 edition of The Wall Street Journal.
The Patent Board's tri-annual Patent Scorecard analyzes telecom and wireless industry companies based on six objective criteria. According to the most recent Patent Scorecard analysis, ParkerVision was the only company to rank first in three separate categories.
In a field that included some of the largest and most valuable global corporations, ParkerVision was ranked first in the areas of Science Strength, Industry Impact and Research Intensity. ParkerVision's patent portfolio includes more than 225 US and international patents, including 26 US patents granted in the last 12 months.
Parkervision has been ranked number one in two or more of The Patent Board's criteria for each of the last seven reporting periods among industry leaders such as Qualcomm, AT&T, Samsung Group, Google, and Cisco Systems.
