BANGALORE: Panasonic India, the consumer durables and electronics major, has launched its new camera phone Panasonic X300. The phone is targeted at high-end consumers who are looking for novelty and distinctiveness in function and design.
The X300 is the first mobile phone to have a camera with a pop up LCD display screen. The pop up display makes shooting with the X300 both convenient and cool. The pop up LCD screen is novel in many other ways too. It helps display crystal clear images due to 128x128 pixel resolution coupled with a powerful 4X digital zoom. These clear images can be viewed in all the natural and glamorous colours as the pop up screen is capable of displaying 65536 colours, states the press release.
The X300 comes with a photo editor which helps give different colour tones to pictures in order to either make the pictures convey emotions or simply enhance their beauty. Further beautification of pictures is facilitated by the photo frame feature of the X300 that aids in creating beautiful borders for the pictures. The integrated VGA camera also allows recording of video clips via a viewfinder similar to those found on full sized DV cams. The video feature helps direct one's own mini movies.
According to the press release, the X 300 is a very user-friendly phone and the control mechanism can be intuitively grasped making it comfortable to use. The phone is enabled with latest technology including GPRS, MMS and tri band. The high-resolution screen facilitates the clear display of text. The photo phonebook can be used to place pictures, besides the number, thus enhancing communication. The 40 polyphonic ring tones are an added perk. Further the X-300 provides a talk time of 3-11 hours and a standby time of 77-260 hours.
Available in a trendy silver colour the phone is priced at Rs 14,325.
