Panasonic launches its second smartphone for Rs.9,490

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Panasonic India has announced the launch of its second smartphone, ELUGA A, in its globally renowned smartphone series "ELUGA".

The device has a 12.7cm (5) IPS FWGA (854x480) display, Android 4.3 (JellyBean) and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, featuring quad-core CPU, Qualcomm Adreno GPU and low power display engine and support for 1GB RAM.

The smartphone sports a single hand operative "Fit Home" user interface with features such as "Kwik Lock", where the user can double tap the home screen to lock.

The ELUGA A provides an 8MP autofocus camera along with 2000 mAh battery. The line-up offers users features like Qualcomm Snapdragon Audio+ audio enhancement technology for  3D sound music, wide bass response and theater-quality audio; Qualcomm Snapdragon Voice+ voice enhancement technology for clearer conversations; Qualcomm Snapdragon BatteryGuru, a product of Qualcomm Connected Experiences, Inc., machine learning technology for extended battery life; and Qualcomm Quick Charge for up to 40 percent faster charging.

The ELUGA A also features support for leading Indian languages that allows the user to browse the web, chat and navigate the phone menu in the local language.

The smartphone will be made available to Indian consumers from tomorrow at an introductory price of Rs. 9,490.
