Panasonic installs center hung display, scoreboard and ribbon boards

LINCOLN, USA: Panasonic Eco Solutions North America announced that it has completed a project in the city of Lincoln, Nebraska as a part of the City's new Pinnacle Bank Arena in the recently expanded West Haymarket entertainment, restaurant and residential district.

The main key tenant of the Pinnacle Bank Arena is the University of Nebraska Men's and Women's Big10 basketball teams. The Panasonic solution includes the design and installation of a center-hung display and a 270 degree fascia ribbon, which circles the arena between the upper and lower concourses. The project is located directly across from another recent LED display installation by Panasonic known as "The Cube".

The project includes a new main, center-hung display comprised of four main 6mm video boards each measuring 22 feet wide and 16.5 feet tall in addition to four upper scoring 6mm displays with dimensions of 22 feet wide and 6.3 feet high. There are also four upper corner 10mm displays connecting the scoring video boards at the width of 9.4 feet and height of 6.3 feet. Finally, the center-hung features a lower halo 10mm display circling at 63 feet in length and 2.4 feet high.

Panasonic also installed a 20mm 270-degree fascia display extending 637.3 feet long and 2.6 feet high, a timing and scoring system that includes locker room clocks, shot clocks and hockey goal lights. Additionally, Panasonic provided ticket window LED displays, a 40 foot courtside scoring table LED display, four fixed digit vomitory timing and scoring displays, as well as an IPTV system featuring 260 flat panel displays with digital media players connected over an IP network and an IPTV head end system were installed.
