Pacifica launches Tech Park in Chennai

CHENNAI: The US-based, Pacifica Companies today announced the launch of its first IT project in India here.

Pacifica Tech Park is spread over 7.29 acres measuring 1.1 million sq.ft and is an integrated information technology park at Navalur on the main stream IT corridor of Chennai, old Mahabalipuram road.

Vikram Agnihotri, regional head – South, Pacifica Companies, said, “Pacifica Tech Park offers one of the largest floor plates and will be ready for commencement in February 2007 and for occupation in April 2007.”

Pradeep Kshatriya, director – Marketing, Pacifica Companies, said, “Our strategy in India is to capitalize on opportunities in key high growth emerging markets like Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore. We started off with Chennai as there is demand for quality commercial space particularly for IT companies and old Mahabalipuram road has become the epicenter for IT and ITes activity.

Outlining the future plans of the company, Kshatriya said that Pacifica has invested over $200 million in India during 2006 and will be investing $400 to $500 million next 2 years.
