Over 100 govt accounts hacked

BANGALORE, INDIA: Sweden-based hacker Dan Egerstad has managed to hack 100 email accounts of embassies and government offices across the world including 13 Indian establishments.

The hacker has posted list of login ID, password and server address on his website www.derangedsecurity.com.

The list includes email accounts of Indian Ambassadors to China, US, Germany, Italy, among others. The email account of the officials of the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), are also found.

According to media reports, he has claimed that he was not a hacker. “I am not a hacker. I only wanted to test security systems. I hope this leads them to take action,” said Egerstad.
