THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, INDIA: All arrangements are in place for IT blue chip Oracle to open its operations in Kerala at the Technopark campus here on Thursday, a top official said.

It would be a soft opening, Technopark official M. Vasudevan said.

"To start with, they have taken space at our Park Centre which can seat around 100. Initially they are going to train their new staff here and by the end of the year they will be moving into their own new space at the Leela Infotech campus here. By that time, the seating strength will be above 500," Vasudevan told IANS.

Headquartered in Redwood Shores, California, Oracle Corporation specializes in developing and marketing enterprise software products - particularly database management systems.

Oracle has taken up 36,000 square feet in the Leela Infotech campus situated in the Technopark campus for nine years, besides also reserving two floors.
