BANGALORE, INDIA: Now, organizations are ready to move to the next generation as far as talent acquisition and management are concerned. They are feeling the need to have change-ready workforce, asserts Suryanarayan Iyer, director, ERP and Human Capital Management Solutions, Oracle India.

That explains why newer platforms like Facebook and Twitter are becoming 'de facto' standards of communication for official purposes, he adds in an exclusive chat with CIOL. "Ït does start with profiling of the organization and then, moves on to talent acquisition, development and retention. It's about how employees are kept engaged."

For instance, Iyer says, LinkedIn has about 150 million users and Facebook about 850 million across the globe, and the former is a great source of employment, as it is quick and reliable.

There is absolutely not much of a difference in this trend in India when compared to the other parts of the world, points out Iyer, adding that it is assuming as much significance as in other locations like Europe and Americas.

In Iyer's words, Oracle has solutions for small and large enterprises, spanning across platforms. "It depends on the depth of functionalities and scale of operations. At Oracle, we have the only complete talent management solution on the cloud," he says.

Traditionally, core human resources (HR) systems are managed on-premise, but now entire application is hosted on cloud. Explains Iyer, "From recruitment to performance, all core employee metrics and data can be stored and analyzed on cloud, as entire talent management solutions are seamlessly integrated."

Especially after their acquisition of Taleo Corporation earlier this year, they have naturally got about 10 years of innovation under their belt, he beams. Under Oracle's Business Partnering Services, right from background verification information flow to everything else can be outsourced.

They are also into learning management, talent review and career planning & development. "The system has to give business intelligence based on analytics and workforce predictions on the performance of individuals and that of the organization," elaborates Iyer, "have partnered with a lot of analysts and consultants for the task and factor in 140 top metrics from contribution to attrition, which enables the system to proactively suggest measures."

Oracle's Fusion Human Capital Management, with Taleo, is a single integrated system, which would be suitable for organizations looking for collaborative networks, he says. "Now, organizations are replicating social media technologies so that people can connect with organizations. Also, knowledge-sharing and networking have become very important."

Another such solution, Kudos, enables networking among employees, apart from giving them much-deserved visibility among their peers, informs Iyer, adding that their solutions help source right people, network with right individuals and also to improve employee bonding.
