Oracle picks Redington for midsize mkt

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Oracle, on Tuesday announced that it has appointed  Redington India Limited (Redington), distributors of IT products, as their national value added distributor (VAD) to market, sell and implement Oracle applications and technology products through its reseller network, spread across multiple cities throughout India.

Through this agreement and Oracel would address midsize customer demands for affordable and quick-to-deploy software applications, said a press release.

Redington’s resellers would be able to provide customers with Oracle Database, Oracle Accelerate and Oracle Fusion Middleware solutions for midsize companies.

 “The enrollment of Redington demonstrates our commitment to our partners. They contribute more than 80 per cent to our business and we work together to identify new business opportunities,” said Cherian Varghese, director, Alliances and Channels, Oracle India.

He added that with Redington, they will be able to reach out to many more midsize companies located in India and offer them low-cost and easy-to-deploy IT solutions.

In the first phase, Redington would engage 300 resellers from Jaipur, Bhopal, Indore, Lucknow, Baroda, Surat, Nasik, Kolhapur, Cochin, Ranchi, Dehradun to serve customers.
