NEW DELHI: Oracle Corp. has made a major change to its professional
certification program, making it easier for application developers and database
administrators (DBAs) to become Oracle certified. Oracle professionals can now
combine exams for different releases of certification tracks to meet the
certification requirements of both the latest and previous versions. The
flexible certification requirements come at a time when new Internet software
releases are outpacing the average time it takes for developers or DBAs to
finish a previous certification.
The Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) program provides the industry's only
recognized certification on the Oracle Internet Platform, and is dedicated to
ensuring that technology professionals have the right skills to build and
administer the latest Oracle eBusiness applications. To date, more than 30,000
professionals have been certified worldwide on the Oracle software, a figure
that is increasing by 1,500 every month.
Oracle has also enriched several of its top certification tracks by
increasing content specific to managing Oracle products in an eBusiness
environment. These enhancements were made to effectively cater to the growing
demand for Oracle Internet professionals. Top Oracle certification tracks
include Oracle8I DBA, Oracle Java Developer and Oracle Internet Application
Developer.
