“Oracle is radically simplifying cloud deployment with a pre-tested, single vendor solution for enterprise cloud infrastructure,” said Ali Alasti, vice president of hardware development, Oracle. “By engineering our hardware and software together, the Oracle Optimized Solution for Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure cuts deployment time from weeks to hours and helps customers get virtualized infrastructure up and running faster.”

Moreover, with Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g the solution can be managed and supported as a single system. The new solution also includes Oracle On Demand, cloud services, as well as comprehensive platform-as-a-service (PaaS) products.

It is endorsed by Intel Cloud Builders programme and will be demonstrated this week at Cloud Expo in New York City.

“The Oracle Optimized Solution for Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure, based on Intel® Xeon® processor-based Oracle blade servers, provides a solid blueprint for true enterprise-class IaaS deployments,” said Pauline Nist, general manager, Mission Critical Segment, Datacenter Group, Intel. “Oracle’s solution is a welcome addition to the Intel Cloud Builders program, and opens the door for ongoing engagement and innovation in cloud computing.”
