PUNE: In a bid to drive its technology solutions for the mid
market segment, Oracle has organized the `Oracle Take off summit' — a focused
SME forum along with its key ISVs in seven cities in India.
The take-off summits have already been held in New Delhi,
Chennai, Coimbatore, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Oracle India technology channels GM
James Thomas, who was in Pune to meet the company partners, said that over 70
percent of the Indian market constituted of SMEs and therefore could not be
ignored. Oracle has over 200 partners and over 6,000 technology customers in
India.
Some of the solutions for the mid market include Oracle 10g
database standard edition, Oracle 10g Database Standard edition One, Oracle
Standard Edition with Real Application Clusters Oracle 10g Application Serve
standard edition and Oracle e-business suite special edition. Last year, the
company had over 170 new wins.
Thomas said that the company had increased focus on the mid
market organizations. “The summit would provide a platform for direct interaction
between ISV partners and customers,” he added.
