BANGALORE:

SAP and Mercury Interactive Corporation , the global leader in business

technology optimization (BTO) software, has announced that SAP will resell

Mercury LoadRunner, Mercury's market-leading load testing software.

Available today under the brand, "SAP LoadRunner by Mercury," it helps
customers maximize the value of IT deployments through performance validation

and optimization capabilities for SAP's enterprise resource planning (ERP)

software and the SAP NetWeaver platform.  The

announcement follows Mercury's announcement last May that it will deliver

solutions for Enterprise Services Architecture (ESA) deployments and underscores

SAP's commitment to building its partner ecosystem and portfolio of

solutions for its customers.

Mercury

LoadRunner helps customers verify that SAP applications will meet business

performance requirements before they "go live" in implementation

deployments. By using Mercury LoadRunner,
SAP

project managers can obtain an accurate picture of end-to-end system performance

and optimize the scalability of applications, which are powered by SAP

NetWeaver.  This helps managers

avoid over-spending on hardware and infrastructure costs.

"As the number one

manufacturer of confectionery products in the United States, we needed to

upgrade our enterprise SAP system and verify that the architecture was

sufficient to meet our performance and availability requirements. Using Mercury

software, we completed our SAP software upgrade on time and under budget, with

no increase in help desk calls and no negative impact on business

operations," said Arthur Murray, manager, applications testing, quality

assurance and training at The Hershey Company. "We see this enhanced

relationship between SAP and Mercury as a very positive step."

SAP

LoadRunner by Mercury
is

a load testing solution for predicting system behavior and performance. It
fully

integrates with and leverages the Computer Center Management System (CCMS) from

SAP
and allows

customers to automate application load testing.

 "With

more than 1,400 joint customers, Mercury and SAP have a long and successful

track record of enhancing the performance and efficiency of SAP solution

deployments," said Ross Wainwright, senior vice president, North America

Consulting, SAP. "We have worked with Mercury for more than ten years and

take great pride in the seamless integration of our offerings and the strength

of our partnership."

"For many of our customers, the performance of their SAP applications
equals the performance of the business," said Jay Larson, senior

vice president of worldwide field operations
at Mercury. "We are

pleased that SAP is delivering our market leading application delivery offerings

to its customers directly. This development represents significant opportunity

for Mercury and SAP to jointly focus on optimizing the business outcomes of our

customers' SAP implementations."
