The newest version of Designer adds automatic MS Access form creation functionality, allowing users to create a fully-functional and normalized Access database after following a simple questionnaire wizard.

Millions of businesses have licensed Microsoft Access, yet new users encounter significant challenge learning the underlying principles of relational database design. Consequently, users invest significant time and money taking courses, performing online research, and reading books related to Access database design.

Designer for Microsoft Access assists users with the difficult elements of database design, such as understanding normalization, primary and foreign keys, relationships, lookup fields, input masks, and field display formats. Using plain-language, Designer prompts users to indicate what they want to track with their Access database. Designer then creates well-structured, normalized Microsoft Database tables and data entry forms.

The third major release of Designer for Microsoft Access includes automatic form creation based on a user's answers to the wizard questionnaire. Designer minimizes the time and effort needed to begin working in Access by generating numerous data entry forms. Each form can optionally include subforms that contain related information.

For example, a 'Customers' form would automatically display related contact, order, and notes records all in the same customer form. With access to related information in a single place, users are able to be more productive when compared to traditional forms created with the Microsoft Access forms wizard.

Designer includes video tutorials for additional help, validation checks to help users avoid common database design mistakes, and numerous templates that allow users to build databases to their needs in shorter time. The product is compatible with Microsoft Access 2000 through Microsoft Access 2007.
