OpenAjax Alliance

In response to the growing interest in Ajax, technology leaders in the Web community have joined together to promote Ajax interoperability, standards and education in order to accelerate the global adoption of Ajax. This organization is called the OpenAjax Alliance.

Ajax substantially improves the end user experience for web-based applications and provides a new user interaction model. In more technical terms, Ajax is a development technique in which Web pages act more like desktop applications because the page does not have to be reloaded on each user input.
