TORONTO: Open Text Corp. will buy fellow software maker Artesia Technologies, a closely held firm that specializes in managing digital content, the company said.

The value of the deal was not disclosed. Waterloo, Ontario-based Open Text said the transaction with Rockville, Maryland-based Artesia is not material to its financial results or operations.

Open Text makes collaboration and content management software, which lets people in different locations work on the same projects. It said the deal will expand its "rich media integration and management capabilities".
