The updated software, including over 30 new components, now connects to more databases and business applications, and enables real-time support by allowing users to trigger the execution of jobs based upon data conditions.

Talend Open Studio 2.3 features reinforcement of Web Services with the full support of the WSDL standard, including Web Services capabilities which enable Talend´s data integration processes to become the Data Services components of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

The unique interactive debugging mode, Trace Mode allows users to view data as it flows through processes, has also been enhanced to include expand/collapse options, pause/resume capabilities and step-by-step mode to give more flexibility over the execution of the processes.

“Talend continues to rely greatly on the exceptional feedback of our user community building in components and connectors that are in high-demand,” said Fabrice Bonan, co-founder and COO of Talend.

“For this release, our first priority was to consolidate and enhance the core features of the solution, while our second focus was to enrich the components and connectors. This new version of Talend Open Studio, including the expanded library of components, deals with many of the complexities of today´s information systems and allows data integration processes to be more ubiquitous and scalable.”

With over 150 native connectors available, Talend Open Studio 2.3 now supports native connectivity to Microsoft Dynamics, Sage CRM, Mondrian, Palo, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Vertica and JasperSoft´s iReports. These environments can be used as sources or targets of the integration processes. In addition, the support for Slowly Changing Dimensions (types 1, 2 and 3) has been expanded to include IBM DB2, Ingres, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and Sybase ASE.

“Talend Open Studio 2.3 is highly influenced by the multiple business partnerships we have secured and announced in the recent months, and combines several enhancements we have made to the solution to support new mission-critical systems including Sage CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, Vertica and Microsoft SQL Server 2008,” said Yves de Montcheuil, vice president of marketing at Talend.

He added, “It also reinforces our leadership in the Business Intelligence space with our enhanced support for iReports from JasperSoft or the Mondrian and Palo OLAP solutions. The purpose of data integration is to allow applications and systems to interoperate, and Talend is once again proving its commitment to supporting all technologies in the information system, open source and closed source, cutting-edge or legacy, for the greatest benefits of our users.”
