New Update

Object Oriented Programming Services (OOPS) is planning to provide managed e-mail services for corporates which would work out to be more flexible than existing options.

Corporates needn't worry about leased lines, back-up servers, servicing and security issues as the email service would be outsourced by OOPS. If the employer is willing, employees would be given e-mail addresses that would be secure and personal for a fee of around Rs 100 per month per user. The address would also have a domain name that would be suggestive of the company, improving its brand. Not many corporates allow their employees to access mail and usually a common domain name is provided to all, which does not have scope for privacy. Here, OOPS would provide a Web-based interface with the existing network and software of the corporate, enabling e-mail for all. The service, would ensure security from hacking and would also protect data within the company network from being corrupted.

OOPS is also in talks with ISPs for allowing online registration with the ISP by the customer.

OOPS plans to set up a sister company, which would focus exclusively on Intranet telephony and computer telephony integration applications for which it already has the technology. The venture is likely to be finalized in four weeks and will go beyond mere system integration to offering an end-to-end solution off the shelf at very competitive prices.
