OnMobile launches phone backup service

BANGALORE, INDIA: Value Added Services provider and data solutions company, OnMobile Global Limited has launched a first-of-its-kind phone backup product with Bharti Airtel, Maxis and Singtel.

The product enables subscribers to backup their personal information including files, messages, videos, photos, music, contacts, calendar, events and tasks stored on their mobile.

The operator network backs up the data. The service is available on both GPRS & non-GPRS handsets on a monthly subscription basis.

Users have to download the user-friendly handset client from either the service provider’s website or by an SMS request.

The product can be accessible from the phone application and self-service web interface.

Users can subscribe to the service by simply sending “BACKUP” a toll-free number.

Secure transmission of the data over the air, addresses users’ safety and security concerns, said OnMobile in a press release.
