Amazon bringing OnePlus One's sequel to India in December

BANGALORE, INDIA: After releasing OnePlus One in April this year, the Chinese smartphone maker has announced the launch of its next smartphone in December.

The earlier version turned out to be one of the best selling smartphone and also was one of the highly regarded phones of 2014 by both reviewers and consumers.

The name of the smartphone and its price has not been disclosed yet. Vikas Agarwal, the company's general manager in an official forum post said: "The exact launch date will soon be announced in the coming days on our forums."

The smartphone will be available in India on Amazon; but only through the invites from the users who already have the device.

The OnePlus One price starts from $299 and the upcoming version will also remain at a competitive price, which can be less than $500, according to reports.

OnePlus One comes in two variants of 16 GB and 64 GB featuring a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920. The smartphone provided Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Other specifications include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5GHz with an Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,100mAh non-removable battery.
