Oneindia launches WAP versions of language portals

BANGALORE, INDIA: Oneindia, an online network of Indian language portals, has launched .mobi sites of its English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam language channels. With this, Oneindia users will now be able to get "information on the move".

By simply pointing their GPRS enabled mobile devices to oneindia.mobi users can access the fully loaded WAP versions of all the portals, the company stated in a release.

These WAP sites offer news, classifieds, TV listing and theater show timings in English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, all at the click of a button.

The mobile sites offer national, international, sports and entertainment news, along with a complete guide to TV program schedule and free online classifieds (housing, jobs, goods and services for sale) from top Indian metros. Users can also check current show timing at major cinema halls in top 6 cities of India. Movies are listed by region, language and theater.

The .mobi sites are designed in a compatible format that easily supports all mobile devices in India.
