One more student nabbed: MMS case

NOIDA: The Noida police have arrested one more student in connection with the morphed MMS clip.

B P Singh, SHO of Sector-20 Police Station, said that the boy was arrested after investigations led to his involvement in the crime.

The Cyber Crime cell of the Noida police had earlier arrested his friend, a class 12 student of a Sector 20 school here, and presented him before the juvenile court after he had allegedly confessed to morphing the picture of a girl and circulating it among his friends. He had also created a fake profile of the girl in Orkut.

Both the accused were studying in the same school.

He had been charged under the Indian Penal Code, Indecent Representation of Women Act, as well as under Sections 67 and 68 of the Information Technology Act regarding cyber crimes.

The girl, a student of the same school, was in ‘clinical depression’ since she saw the profile earlier this week.
