One more held for Sonia-bashing in Orkut

BANGALORE, INDIA: The cyber cell of Pune police have arrested a young man for allegedly posting derogatory and obscene text about Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Orkut.

Twenty-two-year old Nithin Chakravati Suresh Sajja of Begumpet in Hyderabad was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by Congress activist Amol Bhokare.

This is the second arrest in a month’s time after a Gurgaon techie Rahul Krishnakumar Vaid was arrested by the crime branch for the same charge.

Both the accused allegedly posted derogatory text on a community named, ’I hate Sonia Gandhi’ on Orkut.

Netaji Shinde, assistant commissioner of police, cyber cell, said Nithin admitted to posting the message on the website.

He said that the police had asked Google to provide the IP address of the person who had posted the text on the networking site.

Once the police got the email of Nithin and his postal address, the police team picked him from his residence on June 21 in Hyderabad.
