OMG forays into India by partnering with QAI

NEW DELHI, INDIA: The Object Management Group (OMG), today announced its entry into the Indian market by partnering with QAI. It has QAI as its official OMG Certification Program representative in India.

QAI would provide marketing and customer support to individuals and organizations interested in all the three certification programs of OMG - OCUP (OMG Certified UML Professional, OCRES (OMG Certified Real-time and Embedded Specialist), and forthcoming OCEB (OMG-Certified Expert in BPM), said a press release.

The certifications provide an objective indication, of a person’s knowledge of UML, OMG’s Unified Modeling Language; test a person’s knowledge of Real-time and Embedded systems software standards, Business Process Management and Business Process Modeling, it added.

The release stated that Accenture has over 2000 and Infosys has over 4400 professionals certified in India, which is considered to be a testimony to the growing trend.

QAI’s international standards for software professionals; CSQA, CSTE, CSBA, CAST, CQSPE are taken worldwide to consistently assess the employee's skill sets, it added.

“The OMG is very excited to begin working with QAI to offer our certification programs in India,” said William Hoffman, president, Object Management Group.

He added that India has one of the fastest growing technology economies in the world and they expect that there will be great demand for certification in UML modeling, real-time and embedded systems and business process management.
