New Update

If I say that there is a technology that can let you see through wall, you might think I am talking about some Hollywood sci-fi.  Honestly, I am not. We are talking real science here. Remember William Shatner’s statement, a world full of the sci-fi technology we saw in Star Trek is “not that far-fetched.”

Olea Sensor Networks, which deals in intelligent sensors and analytic software for mobile and cloud-based service solutions, has developed OleaVision See-Through Wall Technology, which lets you "see" a living being, through most wall materials, regardless of whether the monitored subject is moving or motionless.

The hand-held device is light-weight and smaller than a smartphone, according to the company and works optimally at a distance of 3 to 4 meters, requiring no contact whatsoever with that wall.

The company is calling it a “disruptive technology” which would enhance situational awareness, particularly for military personnel, in order to identify an adversarial presence without risking exposure that comes with time spent making contact with a subject wall. OleaVision is a night vision technology whose performance is agnostic to interference from or compromise due to thermal energy in the target area as in the case of fire or a fire fight.

"We are very excited to be offering this high-performance technology to the marketplace," explained Frank Morese, Olea CEO and Founder. "OleaVision brings both a more practical and advanced solution with a projected price point of under $500 per unit as compared to existing technologies for these markets which cost between $5,000- $30,000."

The company expects to have the technology ready for market by August.
