The initiative which will help complete projects in a time bound manner and increase efficiency to the citizens was launched by Naveen Pattnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha.

e-Nirman is the official website of the Works Department of Odisha and it will track the physical and financial progress of works pertaining to different Chief Engineers, Circles and Divisions. Through this website, projects in districts, blocks and constituencies can be viewed.

The project will be implemented in two phases. In the first phase, this system can be accessed by all office bearers starting from the Secretariat to the Division Level and in the second phase, it is expected that the facilities will be extended to sub-divisional level and act as a citizen interface.

E-Nirman will focus on project monitoring since the time of budget allocation, allotment of funds, calling of tenders, award of contracts, progress of work and expenditure.

Through this system, monthly, quarterly and yearly progress of projects can be maintained.
