Objects, Databases and the Myth of Serialization

BANGALORE, INDIA: Authors quite commonly - and incorrectly - refer to the process of serialization as part of what is happening when an object database stores an object or object graph.

Put simply, object graphs provide the application with a means to store and retrieve object instances and a structure within which to save the state of its objects at a particular moment in time.
