Announcing this, president and chief executive officer, John W. McCain, who is on a visit to the country, said that Keane, Intelligroup, MISI Company, The Revere Group, Vertex and AgileNet would come under the NTT Data umbrella in the US and Indian markets on Tuesday.

"Combining all our group companies would help us scale up and compete as a Tier-I player across the globe. We have planned something similar in Europe in the first quarter," he explained.

Moreover, the operating model for all these group companies would be the same from this year in the said markets. All put together, the integrated NTT Data generates about $14 billion revenues annually and has about 57,000 employees across 35 countries. NTT Data is a part of the NTT Group, a Fortune 31 Global IT & telecommunications services company.

The news follows NTT Communications Corporation's acquisition of 74 per cent stake in the Mumbai-based Netmagic. Netmagic is a managed IT hosting services provider last Friday.

The group expects the move to integrate member companies to help presenting a brand that would enhance its market presence across verticals and in various geographic locations.

Apart from the delivery centers in six cities in India, which NTT Data considers its flagship global delivery location, Netmagic would work as a sister division to them, said McCain. "We know what each other has, so that we can work together."

As its global business grows, the company plans to look at having more delivery centers across the country, besides the ones at Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Noida and Pune. In India, the group has about 10,000 employees, out of which 75 per cent are with Keane, which deals with applications and services, about 20 per cent with Intelligroup, enterprise application and IT outsourcing services provider, and five per cent with Vertex.

"In US and India, we have 16,000 employees. We remain strong in BFSI sector, with application development and management bringing in about 80 per cent of our revenues, cloud and infrastructure services about 15 per cent and BPO five per cent."

McCain said that North America is their largest market and Europe slightly smaller, with businesses from Asia-Pacific being minimal.
