NTA ICAR UG-PG-PhD Exams Postponed: Admit Cards Likely To Be Out Within The Week

The ICAR UG exam will now be conducted on September 16, September 17, and September 22. ICAR PG and ICAR JRF/SRF will be conducted on September 23.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the ICAR UG 2020 examination. It will conduct the AIEEA UG exams on September 16, September 17, and September 22. Moreover, NTA has also released the exam dates for PG and JRF/SRF - September 23.

The notification comes two days before the original dates of exams. Students were waiting for the admit cards as the exams were supposed to be held on September 7 and 8.. However, NTA just released a notification in which it said that since the exam dates clashed with the Delhi University Entrance Test and IPMAT and NRTI, it changed the dates for the ICAR.

New Dates For All ICAR Exams

1. All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) – UG 2020 on 16, 17, and 22 September 2020

2. All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) – PG 2020 on 23 September 2020 

3. All India Competitive Examination (AICE) –JRF/SRF(Ph.D.) 2020 on 23 September 2020

The dates for downloading Admit Cards indicating Roll Number, Centre of Examination, Date, and Shift of the examination will come 10 days before the exam on the official websites of NTA (www.nta.ac.in) and (https://icar.nta.nic.in)

ICAR exam is conducted for admissions to various UG, PG & Ph.D. agricultural courses. It is the apex body for coordinating, guiding, and managing research and education in agriculture in the entire country under the aegis of DARE, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

The undergraduate students, upon prescribed criteria, will receive a National Talent Scholarship (NTS) of Rs 3,000 per month. The organization also awards 600 ICAR-PG Scholarships and 300 JRF/SRF, it says.

Those candidates who are not able to secure PG Scholarship, based upon prescribed criteria, will be eligible to receive NTS (PG) amounting to Rs 5,000 per month, while the amount of PG scholarship is Rs 12,640 per month, JRF/SRF is awarded @ Rs 31,000 for the first two years of study (JRF) and Rs 35,000 for the final year of study (SRF).
