BANGALORE, INDIA: Networking equipment maker Nokia Siemens Networks announced that it holds 30 percent market share in India's 3G mobile infrastructure and services market.
The company has won deals from Aircel, Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, Tata Teleservices and Vodafone for the deployment of 3G networks in twenty of the country’s telecom circles.
“3G promises a transformation for India. The opportunity given by our customers to build one third of India’s 3G network infrastructure allows us to implement industry benchmarked practices learnt on networks that serve more than half of the world’s 3G subscribers,” said Ashish Chowdhary, , Customer Operation East, and head, India Region, Nokia Siemens Networks.
