Now VLC media player for Android users too

BANGALORE, INDIA: VLC, one of the polular media players, is now avaialbe for Android users.

VLC had recenlty rolled out an iPhone app some time ago, and now it has announced a beta version for Android as well.

The Android beta version of the app is only available for users with Android 2.1 or higher devices. It can be downloaded on select Android devices running on specific versions of ARM processor and still not all Android devices are compatible with the app.

VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player that plays most multimedia files as well as discs, devices, and network streaming protocols.

The new BETA version is intended for power users and hackers. This version is NOT stable and is slower than the final version, according to a note put on http://Play.Google.com
