Under the mySetu software brand, the company offers two products — mySetu EHS&S and mySetu TPM — that help organizations manage operational challenges to measure and report processes between suppliers and consumers more efficiently.

“Our software platform helps organizations in improving the quality and accuracy of both internal and external reporting to the management, and meet corporate governance goals for EHS&S and operational excellence,” said Amit Patel, Setu Net's managing director and chief strategy officer.

According to Patel, the company's platform is highly integrated with seven application suites and 40 systems (modules) that generate in-depth data reports and analysis with easy manageability across various domains in an organization. “We are the first company to have integrated suites and systems that offer data analytics and reporting tools.”

In terms of deployment, for instance, in an organization with over 1000 staffers and units spread across 30 locations, it would roughly take around 3 months, apart from training the staff.

In the past five years, the company has built a strong clientele, including Tata Power Company, Tata Chemicals, Hindustan Unilever, Marico, Ultratech Cements, Sandoz India and Tata Motors, etc..

Asked about the the demand its software platforms in India, Patel said that even though the government has set some guidelines, there's lack of awareness and willingness among organizations towards environment sustainability, industrial and health safety.

“However, in the past two years, the demand has picked up and organizations are focused on improving environment sustainability and safety as well as global reporting initiatives. This is happening mainly due to the coming of multinational companies to India,” he explained.

In the last couple of years, the company grew 100 per cent annually and it is targeting a 200 per cent growth for the next year. Apart from large organizations and enterprises, Setu is targeting small and medium size enterprises. “Organizations in power, petroleum, energy, FMCG and manufacturing sectors are potential users of our software products,” Patel says.

Amit and Kruti Patel founded Setu Net in 2005. The company is being incubated by Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.
