HYDERABAD, INDIA: Mobile and online social networking portal Indyarocks.com today launched an online short film festival aimed at helping professional and amateur short filmmakers in India.
The festival, to be held from October 18 to December 15, will have upcoming short filmmaker Nikhil Acharya as the festival director.
Filmmakers can submit their shoots before November 18 under four categories - Fiction/Experimental, Documentary, Animation and Mobile. The duration of the films should be between 1-10 minutes.
One can shoot films using their digital cameras, camcorders and even their cell phones.
“Indyarocks film festival gives an opportunity to everyone to display their creativity not only to their family and friends but a whole new audience across the world,” said Dr. Vishnu, head of strategy, Indyarocks.
“Indyarocks has consistently added new features in its platform to expand its popularity and attract Indians across the globe. The two-month online short film festival is one such an important initiative,” said Kalyan Manyam, head of India operations, Indyarocks.
