NEW DELHI, INDIA: As the Rail Ministry plans mega Wi-Fi rollout in Indian Railways, Haryana Transport Department, is perhaps first to adopt this ICT-driven novelty idea.

This, revealed by a senior official who believe that the department will soon rollout tender for equipment procurement that include CCTV, Global Positioning System (GPS) and LED-based electronic display board.
Haryana's transport department aims to equip its entire 3,800-buses fleet that include luxury Volvo coaches at 24 depots in a phased manner. The state-owned buses carry more than 1 million passengers daily.
