NEW DELHI, INDIA: Wishtel has announced the launch of IRA and IRA Thing tablets at Rs 4,000 and Rs 5,500 (excluding tax) respectively.

Powered by Google Android 2.2, the tablets also have built-in camera and 720p HD video support. The company said that it will indigenously produce tablets with components sourcing from various locations.

Wishtel CEO Milind Shah said that with such a device, they have intent to offer textbook content. IRA tablet has been designed as per IIT Rajasthan specifications to facilitate National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT).
The company will provide online support as well as onsite support for corporate and government clients. With 350 distribution centers enrolled for distribution, Wishtel plans to expand distribution base to 1,200 by the year end.
