STOCKHOLM: Rejlers' division Railconsult has won the contract for consulting services regarding the development of Sporveiens construction database in Oslo. The contract is worth NOK 3.1 million and is expected to be completed in 2016.

The assignment involves structuring the work and to be a technical support when updating the database. The system is based on the software IFS 8 and contributes to an effective and comprehensive maintenance. Railconsult has previously been involved in similar projects and has experience in developing and operating construction databases, as added.

Sporveien in Oslo has 3 200 employees, carrying 200 million passengers per year and is said to be the largest public transport in Norway.

Rejlers says that while it is one of the largest engineering consultancy firms in the Nordic region, it is continuing to grow rapidly and its activities are spread across 80 locations in Sweden, Finland and Norway.
