Nokia launches smartphone campaign

NEW DELHI, INDIA:  Mobile handsets giant Nokia, which is struggling hard to retain its leadership in the handsets market,  has launched a campaign under which it has set up mini racing experience zones to show how toy cars can be controlled by its smartphone N8.

Nokia said it started the campaign after feedback from customers on what would they would want to control with their smartphones. The roadshows is now on in Bangalore and Delhi and will move to Mumbai, the handset major said on Friday.

"We are inviting idea from masses on what people will like to control using Nokia N8 smartphones," said Ravi Kunwar , Director (Sales) for Nokia India's North Sales Unit.

Nokia said it is  open for ideas on developing remote control functions in N8 smartphones that can be used for controlling home appliances or real-life vehicles.  After receiving ideas from the users till August 8, Nokia will start evaluating  the concepts  and look in to possibility of developing it.
